|Closing remarks by Peter Møllgaard, Dean, University of Southern Denmark
For almost half a century Timothy Garton Ash has figured as one of the most prominent narrators of European history. In his widely acclaimed latest book Homelands: A Personal History of Europe published in the spring of 2023, he blends historical insight and lived experience to tell a first-hand story of the continent’s rise after the Second World War.
In a conversation with Lykke Friis, Garton Ash will explore the dilemmas now facing Ukraine, Europe and the West in a world that is leaving what he has coined the Post-Wall Era - an era that was characterized by relative peace in Europe and by having one superpower, the United States.
