Master's programmes

Take your knowledge, expertise and skills to the next level with a master's degree at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU). Admission requires a bachelor's degree or professional bachelor's degree.

Find your master's programme

A master's programme is a two year course of study at graduate level. Admission requires a bachelor's degree from a university or a professional bachelor's degree from a business academy.

A master's programme can be the direct continuation of your bachelor's degree or you can change direction and expand your knowledge by choosing a different subject. At graduate level, you obtain specialised knowledge and learn how to apply your academic skill set to find solutions to problems and challenges in the workplace.

A master's degree from SDU can help you on your way to your dream job, and it is the perfect starting point for your career.

A master's degree can also lead to a PhD degree and a career in research.

The University of Southern Denmark offers a unique, international environment with students and researchers from more than 50 different countries all over the world. At SDU, you will develop strong analytical and problem-solving skills which are key for your future career.

There are many reasons for why our students have chosen SDU - and why you should consider doing the same:

  1. At SDU you will meet an ambitious, yet relaxed learning and teaching culture with more interaction, small classes that allow participation in discussions and less formal interaction  with lecturers.
  2. SDU offers around 60 programmes taught in English, and the Danes are very good at English, so don't worry about the language barrier.
  3.  At SDU, you will be part of a unique learning environment with group work, interdisciplinary projects, talent programmes etc.
  4. Denmark in general and the University of Southern Denmark is very digital. The high degree of digitisation makes studying, exams and everyday life a whole lot easier.
  5. International full-degree and exchange students at SDU have easy access to housing - and are in some cities guaranteed housing - when moving to one of SDU's campus cities: Odense, Esbjerg, Sønderborg or Kolding.
