Course on Scientific Communication
9-15, Juni 3-4, 2021
SDU, Meeting Room 7

We will be introduced to basic journalistic tools for finding and telling a good story about our research to an audience without prior knowledge. The course is thus targeted at researchers. The Center for Faglig Formidling will work to find a story in our knowledge, and we get knowledge and tools to convey the story in a podcast. The course will also give us basic knowledge of sound and technology, so that we can record technically simple podcasts with our own phone. The teaching alternates between short presentations and exercises, and teachers are experienced science journalists.

This is a short version of the detailed program:

Day 1

  • Why communicate
  • Target audience
  • Find the story: Criteria of relevance
  • Find your angle: The narrative sentence
