Abstract

This paper will look at the close relationship between the Exeter Book and Cambridge University Library Gg 5.35 - two major poetic anthologies, one in English, the other in Latin - to show that they share an early 10th-century model.  The paper is of interest to those working on both Old English and medieval Latin poetry, as well as more broadly to those interested in anthologizing.
