Supported by SDU Imaging and Attocube Systems, the workshop introduced advanced tools for nanoscale chemical analysis through a combination of expert presentations and practical instrument sessions. Participants were given direct experience with near-field techniques and their application in materials characterisation.
A key aspect of the workshop was its focus on real measurement challenges. Participants worked with their own samples and explored how nano-IR and nanoFTIR methods can be applied to generate and interpret nanoscale data. This provided both practical results and a clearer understanding of the techniques.
Leading invited speakers and Attocube specialists supported the sessions and contributed to an open and collaborative environment throughout the three days.
The workshop also reflected the growing interest in near-field optics and nanoscale characterisation. Researchers from different institutions and disciplines came together, highlighting the increasing relevance of these methods and encouraging future collaboration.
