Many things can happen during the PhD study. Things don't go according to plans, data is lacking, new ideas may turn up, a pandemic might hit... what ever it it is, please make sure that you don't sit with any troubles alone. Below you can find some suggestions on where to find help during your enrolment:
In case of issues during the PhD programme
You can contact the Graduate School at phd@health.sdu.dk if the issue is of an academic nature (e.g., lack of clarity/frequency in supervision, disagreement about academic goals/priorities, etc.).
In case of a personnel case (e.g., harassment, bullying, sexual harassment, etc.) you can contact your SDU department and/or HR.
In cases of doubt, it is always possible to contact the Graduate School for informal guidance phd@health.sdu.dk
Please Note! All conversations with the Graduate School is confidential, unless otherwise agreed upon by all concerned parties!
Psychological help at SDU
If you are employed at SDU for more than 15 hours per week and are experiencing mental health challenges related to your work, you can make use of SDU’s agreement with Falck on psychological counselling: https://sdunet.dk/en/servicesider/hr/arbejdsmiljoe/hvordan_kan_vi_arbejde_med_arbejdsmiljoe/psykisk-arbejdsmiljoe/psykologisk-raadgivning
If you are employed somewhere else ask your place of employment if they have a coach or other psychological counselling.
