SDU Civil and Architectural Engineering

SDU Civil and Architectural Engineering is a section established in 2016.

We educate highly skilled Civil Engineers of the future and have a strong young research environment within building physics, concrete structures and wind engineering.

SDU Civil and Architectural Engineering consists of engineers and researchers within a wide field of competences such as building design, planning, economics, energy, environment, indoor climate, construction of roads and facilities, wind engineering, and timber, steel and concrete structures.

Co-operation

The research and education of SDU Civil and Architectural Engineering is conducted in close cooperation with the industry and organizations. The co-operations can take form of specific research projects and consultancy or student projects and internships.

Students won international prize for green concrete

Three MSc Structural Engineering students won an international competition on concrete construction of the future. Their contribution was a hybrid oven based on gas and electricity that can reduce CO2 emission in concrete production.
