During his time at SDU in the years 2014-2016, Alexander Brem was Head of the section at that time named Innovation and Design Engineering in Sønderborg, and he left his mark laying the groundwork for TEI’s Innovation Lab, which opened in May 2017.
He went on to be Chaired Full Professor at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg at the Nuremberg Campus of Technology. Since January 2020 he holds a Chaired Full Professor position at Institute of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Science at University of Stuttgart, endowed by the Daimler Fund in the Stifterverband. The institute is also part of the Cyber Valley Baden-Württemberg, which is Europe’s largest research consortium in the field of artificial intelligence.

“Alexander Brem is a highly esteemed researcher in his field. By connecting him closely to SDU and our TEI section at ITI, we can continue to benefit from his excellent ideas and vast network”, says Peder Thusgaard Ruhoff, Head of Department of Technology and Innovation, and continues “The scientific work of Alexander Brem is indeed unique, and our collaboration will pave the way for exchange agreements which will give students at University of Southern Denmark access to the latest knowledge and methods in Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship. We are very happy that Alexander has accepted to continue his Honorary Professor position with SDU for another 5 years”.
