Kannan Govindan receives Research Award

Fyens Stiftstidende Researcher Award in 2019 is given to Professor Kannan Govindan for developing a mathematical model that will help production companies work in more sustainable way.


Since 1972 t
he newspaper Fyens Stiftstidende’s research award has been awarded to acknowledge researchers on Funen who accomplish something extraordinary. 
This year Professor Kannan Govindan, head of Center for Sustainable Supply Chain Engineering at ITI, has been appointed by SDU and will receive this honourable prize for his research developing a mathematic model, with the purpose of making production companies more sustainable – economically, socially and environmentally.

Kannan Govindan was awarded the  prize on 9  May at a reception at Fyens Stiftstidende where two other SDU researchers were also awarded a prize.
