Excerpt from the laudation:

”Silke joined the Board of ECSB in November 2011 and over the next decade made an enormous contribution to the organization. During her term as President, she led ECSB through a very difficult phase in its relationship with ICSB, and diplomatically negotiated the restructuring of its association with the world body. Her thoughtful and inclusive leadership style enabled ECSB to grow during this challenging period and helped to ensure that ECSB is now a strong, independent organization.”
