  • Tracing the detailed course of the highway from the crossing of the Halys (now submerged under the waters of the Altinkaya dam) to the crossing of the Bakirçay.
  • Compiling an up-to-date corpus of milestones and studying of their spatial scatter (find-spot in relation to original position) to establishing the precise capita viae.
  • Clarifying the relation of the Selçuk bridges at Köprübaşi and Kurtköpru to possible Roman predecessors.
  • A detailed study of the road from Neoklaudiopolis to Adatepe which will be taken as the "road of reference" for other secondary roads as regards width, substructure, density of surface finds, alignment and longitudinal profile (Bekker-Nielsen 2004, 87-94).
  • Survey of secondary roads from Neoklaudiopolis NNE to Akören; E to Çalköy and Yurukcal; W to Karapinar and Kuyas; SW towards Paşaköy and Büyükkale.
