February 10, 1-3 p.m. Materiality and method (in Danish) – historical exhibitions from the 19th century onwards

Research programme seminar with associate professor Anne Folke Henningsen from the University of Copenhagen, PhD-students Aske Hennelund Nielsen and Daniel Henschen.
The seminar will focus on problems of theory and method with regard to historical exhibitions and studies of authority and materiality.

The seminar takes place in the meeting room of the Centre for Middle Eastern Studies.

March 15, 2-4:30 p.m.
Manuscript Cultures, Materiality, and Authority.

Research programme seminar on ancient and medieval manuscript cultures. Often the contents of the manuscripts are at the centre of research, but this seminar will focus on different aspects of the media and materiality in relation to the manuscripts, by looking at margin notes, drawings, and annotations.
With papers by professor Liv Ingeborg Lied (Oslo), associate professors Réka Forrai and Lars Bisgaard (Odense).
