Mertcan's PhD explores:

Robust and fault-tolerant control strategies for multirotor UAVs, focusing on maintaining flight stability under sensor or actuator failures. His work investigates model-based and adaptive control frameworks that ensure safe autonomous operation even in degraded conditions. With prior experience in the automotive and UAV industries, he combines practical engineering expertise with advanced control system design for aerial robotics.

 

Key Technologies:  Fault detection and isolation, robust control, adaptive systems, UAV dynamics, sensor fusion.

Applications:  Reliable drone operation in critical missions such as inspection, rescue, and logistics.
