Welcome the Online PhD Celebration
Traditionally, the University of Southern Denmark's many new PhDs were supposed to have been celebrated at a festive ceremony in June. Unfortunately, this was not the case this year. The world was hit by the corona pandemic, and like so many other things, the PhD celebration was also cancelled.
We have therefore chosen to move part of the celebration to this website. Here you can view the Rector's address to the PhD students and Professor Kaare Christensen's celebratory lecture. In addition, we are honouring the winners of the PhD Awards of the five faculties, and we are paying tribute to all of this year's PhDs.
It’s our consolation prize in times of coronavirus. This allows us to celebrate the 2020 PhD year in spite of the unfortunate circumstances.
