Within the field of mechanical and mechatronics engineering, we offer two courses - below, you will find more information about each course.
Please check the individual course descriptions for possible prerequisites and remember to see at which campus it is offered.
Experimental Composite Manufacturing
In this course, you will gain knowledge of design and manufacturing of fibre-reinforced composites. We work on selected components for a race car as a case for acquiring knowledge and experience that may readily be directed towards many other types of applications. The course takes place in the SDU composite lab which offers various composite manufacturing technologies and materials.

Reverse Engineering – Materials, Processes, and Optimization
In this summer school you will be introduced to several methods of additive manufacturing, namely 3D printing techniques like classical FDM as well as resin printing, but also metal AM techniques including considerations on strength, heat dissipation and electrical conduction properties. Their combination with numerical optimization methods and general Reverse Engineering practices, such as 3D scanning, allows the theory to be validated hands-on during the course
