INVITATION: Inaugural seminar with Professor Frans Pouwer and Adjunct Professor Jane Speight

INVITATION

Worldwide, diabetes mellitus affects an estimated number of 340 million people and their families. Having diabetes requires daily self-care by the person with diabetes (or by parents/care providers). Ongoing diabetes self-management is needed to minimize burdensome short-term complications, such as hypoglycaemia (very low blood glucose), and to prevent long-term complications, such as kidney failure, blindness, amputation, stroke or heart disease.

On the occasion of Frans Pouwer’s appointment as Professor of Medical Psychology specializing in diabetes, and the appointment of Jane Speight as Adjunct Professor at the Department of Psychology, University of Southern Denmark, the Faculty of Health Sciences hereby invites you to attend an inaugural seminar on Friday, 17 November 2017, 14.00-16.00 CET, in the Auditorium, University of Southern Denmark, J.B. Winsløws Vej 25, DK-5000 Odense C.

For particulars – see the attached program.
The Faculty of Health Sciences would like to invite all interested persons to attend the seminar and the subsequent reception.

If you wish to participate, we kindly ask you to register here no later than November 12, 2017.

All interested parties are welcome.
