Project:

Facilitate interdisciplinary research community and cultural well-being on Campus Esbjerg

Vision:

Relation and knowledge exchange by individual researchers incl. PhD students who want to cross boundaries alone or in collaboration with others, provide networking in professional and social life, including internal and external communication.

Participants:

  • Researchers from all institutes in Esbjerg
  • PhD students
  • Administrative colleagues (if interested)

The challenges for SDU Esbjerg:

  • Lack of communication across institutes
  • Being busy with daily tasks
  • Different institutional cultures
  • Organizing same activities in parallel from different departments

 

The opportunities for SDUB VIP Club:

  • Leveraging the information across institutes
  • Promoting interactions across institutes, and foster a collaborative environment
  • Reduce institutional barriers by developing practical ways of learning from scholars in other fields.
  • Centralizing events and activities for researchers

 

Example Programs:

  • Short talks by researchers – once a month by a researcher volunteer (it takes place after lunch at specific reserved place)
  • Poster session in the library
  • Library exhibition with reading suggestions from researchers
  • Inviting external speaker with general topic
