The advisory board for the Spanish and Hispanic American Studies Programme

Function:
Overall, the advisory board will serve as a networking and dialogue-creating forum between the Spanish language programme and the employers in order to build a bridge between the University and the labour market and to ensure and develop the relevance and quality of the programmes. The board is consulted in connection with new or major changes to existing programme regulations or the planning of new Spanish-related programme elements that may become under the auspices of the Board of Studies for German and Spanish. The board may contribute with employer opinions, e.g. on programme regulations, applications for new accreditations and other recommendations.

The advisory board can thus contribute to:

  • discuss different study-related initiatives
  • help graduates and their skillsets being profiled in relation to relevant employers
  • assist in the development and maintenance of course elements that aim to increase the student’s knowledge of a relevant job and labour market
  • ensure that the course of study is aware of the societal relevance of the programmes
  • ensure that graduates are given optimal conditions for using their education in relevant, attractive positions, both within the upper secondary school
  • sector and in the business world
  • challenge the structure and culture of the Faculty and programmes
The advisory board consists of 6–8 employers from upper secondary schools and public and private companies in areas of special interest to Spanish and Hispanic Studies graduates, as well as 2–3 representatives from the University.
  • Sine Berg Schuwendt
  • Uwe Kjær Nissen (Head of Studies, SDU)
  • Helle Birkebæk Sørensen
  • Miryam Rosenfeldt
  • Claudio Cifuentes-Aldunate (Associate Professor, SDU)
  • Sylvie Cifuentes
  • Ole Mikkelsen
  • Ángela Mateos
  • Natasha Sterup
As a rule, at least one meeting is organised every year.
The advisory board is appointed for a two-year term of office. The chairperson and deputy chairperson are elected for the same term.
