Movie Screening and Dialogue: Nature of Agriculture
Can agriculture help solve some of the crises of Nature?
Can agriculture help solve some of the crises of Nature?
A question that is increasingly being discussed and is raised in the documentary the Nature of Farming.
We are excited to announce this event co-hosted by PACA, Department of Design, Media & Educational Science, and CUHRE in which documentarist Isabelle Denaro joins us to watch and talk about her recent film ‘The Nature of Farming’ (DA: Landbrugets Natur).
In “The Nature of Farming” we meet a number of Danish farmers and are introduced to different nature-friendly, regenerative farming methods that restore biodiversity above and below ground, remove CO2 from the atmosphere, build soil fertility, and balance our water and carbon cycles. Selected researchers and experts supplement with relevant information and reflections. The film is filled with visions and valuable scientific information, but it is also beautiful and healing in its own way and can be watched by everyone. It invites us to feel how life-affirming agriculture can be. Thus, the director Isabelle Denaro hopes to create a longing that, ideally, will inspire us to push towards a new paradigm.
