New adjunct professor at the Centre for Innovative Medical Technolocy (CIMT)

Professor and Scientific Director Anne Snowdon is a new adjunct professor of clinical supply chain innovation at the Centre for Innovative Medical Technology (CIMT)

The collaboration between Dr. Snowdon and CIMT is based on the "H-SIMM supply chain maturity tool" which Dr. Snowdon and her team have developed with healthcare leaders and industry partners skilled in data processing.

The tool is used to analyse supply chain infrastructure to support overall system performance. The tool uses data for predictive analytics of clinical outcomes by looking at tracking and traceability of products, care processes, provider teams – all linked to individual patient outcomes.

Tessa Lind Gjødesen, Head of CIMT, is looking forward to the new collaboration:

“Dr. Anne Snowdon is a very relevant partner profile for CIMT because she combines her clinical background with socio-economic research – just like we do at CIMT”.

The aim for the collaboration is to bring Dr. Snowdon's research into a Danish setting and apply the research and models at Odense University Hospital. The joint research will focus on validating the "H-SIMM supply chain maturity tool" and work on the business model for H-SIMM in a Danish and Scandinavian setting.

Dr. Anne Snowdon says:

“I am deeply honoured to have the opportunity to work with the many exceptional leaders at Odense University Hospital and CIMT to advance and accelerate health system innovation and supply chain maturity in the Region of Southern Denmark.  I look forward to building many robust collaborations and impactful outcomes at CIMT”.

The Inaugural seminar

The inaugural seminar for Dr. Snowdon takes place in October 2019 where she also attends the annual Innovation Day at Odense University Hospital (OUH).
