New adjunct professor, Department of Regional Health Sciences, IRS-Center South West Jutland

Clinical professor, DMSc Therese Ovesen has from october 1th 2019 been appointed as adjunct professor at the Department of Regional Health Sciences, IRS-Center South West Jutland, Hospital of South West Denmark, Department of oto/rhino/laryngology.

Therese Ovesen obtained her master degree in medicine from the university of Aarhus in 1986. She worked as professor at Aarhus University Hospital, department of oto/rhino/laryngology from 2002 to 2016. In 2016 she was appointed clinical professor at the Institute of Clinical Medicine, Aarhus University Hospital working at the Hospital Unit West, Holstebro.

Therese Ovesen has supervised more than 25 ph.d. students and postdocs. She has published more than 180 peer reviewed papers, book chapters and books.

As adjunct professor Therese Ovesen will assist the department of oto/rhino/laryngology in the planning of scientific projects in close collaboration with departments and scientists both at and outside off the Hospital of South West Jutland. She will play an important role in the efforts to prepare the department to participate in the education of medical students in the future.
