Neurobiology Research

Research in Neurobiology aims to improve our understanding of injury to and diseases of the central nervous system such as multiple sclerosis, Alzheimers Disease, Parkinsons Disease, stroke, and spinal cord injury applying molecular, cellular and histological approaches to study of clinical material, animal models and tissue culture.

Research at Neurobiology Research at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU) is oriented towards understanding causes and pathophysiology of brain disease, with a major focus on mechanisms of pathology. There is a close association between Odense University Hospital (OUH) and Neurobiology Research. This interaction facilitates bi-directional translational collaborations between clinical practice and research.

Neurobiology Research is a research unit of the Department of Molecular Medicine.
