Projektbeskrivelse

Many survivors of sexual assault seeking services at the Danish sexual assault centers often have complex and coexisting problems such as active substance misuse, severe mental illness etc. While many survivors are offered treatment at the centers, others are referred to services outside the centers such as substance abuse treatment, psychiatric care, etc.

The aim of the Forget-me-not project is to investigate what characterizes survivors of sexual assault who are and are not offered treatment at the Danish sexual assault centers and to further explore how survivors who are not offered help at the centers experience the subsequent services outside the centers and to assess whether this treatment includes a focus on the sexual assault.
