Our input to the SDGs will by the nature of our work and approaches be supportive more than directly focused on delivering complete solutions. That said, the section is committed to engaging with the goals, in several, interrelated manners
The section works primarily with issues surrounding the processes through which new innovations come to be, as well as the manner in which products are developed and refined through design, the input this section has to the SDGs will be supportive rather than directly focused on delivering complete solutions. We do, of course, take into consideration how we can contribute to resolve the problems addressed by the UN Sustainable Development Goals

Good Health
Our research focuses on how innovation can improve e.g. illness treatments in hospitals or rehabilitation of patients. In this way, we support SDG #3.
Quality Education
At SDU Innovation and Design Engineering the programmes taught at the section, particularly PDI, are being refashioned in a way which takes the SDGs into account on all levels. Students will be given ample opportunity to engage with the goals through project work, and the teaching will incorporate these. The section is also developing the field of technology ethics as a differentiator in teaching. These efforts are all supporting SDG #4.
