IFUL is partner of a project within the Interreg IVB North Sea Programme: Sustainable Urban Fringes (SURF), with 15 partners from six countries. The project with a budget of € 4.3 mil. – lead partner: Aberdeen City Council – has just been approved. It aims at improving the management of spatial planning and promoting sustainable economic development in urban fringes across EU.
The project brings partners and experts across the North Sea Region to share their views and innovative ideas, analyze specific problems, develop networks and common approach and a set of policy guidelines to influence regional and national policy, economic development and competitiveness of urban fringes in city regions.
