Managing a hospital ward involves an assessment of patient flows and the efficient use of resources. Without a comprehensive approach to managing these factors, wards cannot operate efficiently. This, among other things, requires a thorough understanding of patient flows, the ability to book patients for treatment in an efficient and comprehensive way, and efficient methods to allocate available personnel resources.
