People News from the Faculty of Science, week 10
Students Elise Thomsen and Anders Christian Hansen, who study biomedicine at Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and Mette-Marie Wendelboe Nielsen, studying chemical engineering at KBM, have received DKK 50,000 from TREFORs Værdipulje for the project PAST – Petide Aptamer Screening using two-hybrid system. The goal of the project is to create peptide aptamers, which show great promise in the substitution of antibodies for research and educational purposes. This work was started in 2015 by the SDU iGEM team.
Professor Francesco Sannino, Centre for Cosmology and Particle Physics Phenomenology (CP³-Origins=, and Giacomo Cacciapaglia from Institut de Physique Nucleaire de Lyon, will head a collaboration and a series of Composite Dynamics LattiCe and Experiments meetings between CP³-Origins and the Institute of Nuclear physics of Lyon (IPNL). The meetings are funded by Institut Français Danemark.
