Research interests

The research comprises the investigations of innate immunity and innate cell, including the regulation of immune response by immune cells, especially macrophages. Further, we work with understanding structure and function of receptors on surfaces of immune cell. The research focuses on understanding interactions at the molecular level as well as understanding regulatory networks in disease development. The research is having a strong translational aspect, i.e. we have been developing novel immunomodulatory therapy for cancer and autoimmune diseases, as well as biomarkers for inflammatory indications.

methods and techniques

We use a range of technologies - see list for the entire research unit. We have a special strength in biosensor technologies such as surface plasmon resonance and biolayer interferometry as well as protein and antibody engineering.
