This month, students and employees will elect new members to 174 boards and committees. Meaning this will be SDU's largest election to date.

It will be held over two days - Tuesday the 22nd and Wednesday the 23rd of November.

Despite the scale, there will be no queues in front of the ballot boxes, as all elections will be held electronically.

The 31,155 persons entitled to vote will all receive an email with a link to the vote.

Uncontested election of SDU's Board of Directors
The students must decide who shall represent them on SDU's Board of Directors.

It has already been established that the seats will be filled by two persons from the student organisation, Syddanske Studerende: Chairperson Klaus Rose and Deputy Chairperson André Shamoun Dabroudi.

This is an uncontested election. Klaus Rose is running for re-election.

Contested election of the University Council
The University Council consists of 12 members and is a collegiate body set up to include staff and students in major decisions concerning the general management of the university.

The students must choose three members, and this will be a contested election, as there are five candidates, all from Syddansk Studerende.

The university's technical and administrative staff must also elect three members, for which there are eight candidates.

The academic staff participate in the University Council through the chairpersons of the five faculty Academic Councils.

In addition to the central election, members must be elected to the Faculty Council, Institute Council and Study Board.
