Responsible Conduct of Research | September 15 and 22

The course introduces PhD students from the humanities to basic concepts, principles, and norms concerning responsible conduct of research. To earn course credits, participants are required to attend all classes and must complete the home assignments.

Citizen Science│October and November

In this course you will learn innovative ways of engaging citizens – as data collectors, co-analysts and even policy co-developers. You will experience co-design methods in practice, design your own pilot project, and build competencies with various methods that can potentially boost your research and make it more relevant to society. Deadline for registration September 15, 2026.

Forms of Qualitative Text and Discourse Analysis │ November and December

The course covers three on-site days on campus. The course supports PhD students in understanding how different approaches to text and discourse analysis can be selected, combined, and applied in relation to their theories, research questions, and empirical data. Registration deadline is November 1, 2026.

Dette ph.d.-kursus fokuserer på den voksende praksis med mixed-methods forskning inden for humaniora. Den ph.d.-studerende klædt på til at analysere og vurdere forskellige mixed methods design og til selv at udvikle, argumentere for og gennemføre forskning med mixede metoder. Masterclass: Organizational ethnography in familiar settings │ November 17-19

This masterclass will focus on the methodological and ethical considerations of doing ethnography in organisations and institutions that the researcher is familiar with. Based on the concept of at-home ethnography, we will explore how proximity to the field can be both a strength and a challenge.

Careers in and beyond Academia: Skills, Networks, and Opportunities for Humanities PhD Researchers │ 17 November

Humanities PhD researchers increasingly pursue careers both within and beyond academia. This course explores the many professional paths available and supports participants in identifying, articulating, and developing the skills they bring from doctoral research.
