Request a course

You or your institute can request a course that contains just what you need, at any time. The course can be held in your classroom or at the Library.

The course can be geared specifically for students or for lecturers and/or research staff.

Contents:

Any group of interested people can request a free introduction to the Library. We will take you on a tour of the Library to show you the physical facilities, and tell you about our services. The introduction can also include the Library's home page and catalogue. 

Intended audience:

Any group - of at least five people - who are interested.

Contents:

Do you want to use the Library's resources even more efficiently? We will give you an introduction to our services. How do you get materials from the Library as quickly and simply as possible? How do you request books and articles that the Library does not have? Which resources are available within your field?

Intended audience:

All SDU employees. You can get an introduction at the Library, online or in your own office. 

Contents:

The Library introduces the databases we give you access to. How do you find the most recent books and articles from your field? We introduce you to basic search techniques and methods and demonstrate advanced search facilities in individual databases. As a group, you can request an introduction to the databases that are relevant for your specific area. 

The courses and teaching provided by the Library can be integrated into the courses at centres and institutes at SDU. They  will always be based on individual needs.

Intended audience:

Any group - of at least five people - who are interested. 

Contents:

Students writing their M.A. thesis, lecturers and researchers can request courses on advanced literature  and information searches. The purpose is to help the participants get better at selecting, evaluation and using electronic sources of information. This course can be held as a group session combined with individual guidance. Contact the research librarians at the Library to make an appointment for individual guidance on information searches within your specific field. 

Intended audience:

Students writing their M.A. thesis, lecturers and researchers. The course can be held as a group session or by individual appointment with a research librarian.
