People News from the Faculty of Science, week 1

Claudia Hagedorn is a new assistant professor at CP³-Origins. Claudia has previously been at the University of Munich, SISSA, Trieste, University of Padua and Excellence Cluster ‘Universe’ in Munich.

Jesper Wengel, professor at the Department of Physics, Chemistry and Pharmacy, has been appointed board member of the Danish Council for Independent Research.


Selma Cikotic, master student at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, has received DKK 10,000 from Nordea Fonden for a stay abroad at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Australia.

Casper Steinmann, postdoc at the Department of Physics, Chemistry and Pharmacy, has received DKK 2,010,816 from the Danish Council for Independent Research for the project Overcoming the computational barrier of predicting accurate binding energies with fragment-based methods. For the same project, he has also received DKK 499,824 from Sapere Aude: DFF-Forskertalent 2015.
