Research within Defence Technology
SDU Defence Technology operates as part of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Southern Denmark. The unit’s mission is to foster, further, and facilitate research and innovation by bridging the gap between academia and the defence industry.
The unit actively supports linking researchers with companies at the National, European, and NATO levels, helping them identify and collaborate with relevant research units at SDU TEK. Additionally, SDU Defence Technology facilitates connections with the Danish Armed Forces and offers guidance on funding opportunities through the European Defence Fund, as well as dialogue with the NFC (National Forsvarsteknologi Center).
By strengthening these partnerships and enabling access to strategic resources, SDU Defence Technology plays a key role in advancing Denmark’s technological leadership in defence and security.
