Student Housing in Sønderborg

Exchange students at SDU are guaranteed housing in Sønderborg and can choose between several housing options, including subletting and accommodation at Ungdomskollegiet.

When applying, you may indicate your preferred housing option; however, please note that we cannot guarantee that your first choice will be available.

SDU does not provide housing for full-degree students in Sønderborg, and accommodation is therefore not guaranteed. However, several housing options are available.

• One option is Studiebolig Syd, a housing association offering a range of student residences. Please visit their website for more information and to apply.
• You may also search on the private housing market, where various websites advertise rooms and apartments, although access to some platforms may require a small fee.
• In addition, social media groups are often used by students to sublet rooms or find roommates.

When using the private market or social media, please be aware of potential scams. Avoid transferring money to foreign accounts, paying unusually high deposits, or renting accommodation without meeting the landlord. If possible, ask a friend to view the accommodation on your behalf before making any payments.
