Ungdoms-kollegiet (student residence)

The residence is about 4 km from the town centre and 1 km from the University of Southern Denmark. It is home to a mix of Danish and international students at both bachelor’s and master’s levels.

Students have their own bathroom and share a kitchen with 14 other residents. Linen and kitchen items are not included but can be rented as part of an equipment package (see below).

• Rooms are furnished with a desk, a couch that can be converted into a bed, a closet/wardrobe, lamps, curtains, and a small table.

Equipment Package

An equipment package can be rented for a minimum of 6 months at DKK 80 per month. It contains linen and kitchenware and will be in your room upon arrival unless you notify Studiebolig Syd that you do not want it. The package includes:

• 1 quilt, 1 pillow, 1 thin top mattress
• 2 sets of linen with sheets
• 2 large towels, 2 small towels, 2 dish towels, 2 cloths
• 1 waste bin
• 2 mugs, 2 tumblers
• Cutlery: 2 knives, 2 forks, 2 spoons, 2 teaspoons
• Crockery: 2 plates, 2 soup plates
• Cookware: 1 pot (1 ltr.), 1 pot (3 ltr.), 1 frying pan
• Kitchen tools: ladle, palette knife, paring knife, kitchen knife, bread knife
• 1 water jug, 1 cutting board, 1 dishwashing brush, 1 washing-up bowl, 1 plastic box, 1 canvas bag

Phone and Internet Access

All rooms have telephone and data network connections, including internet, linked to other residence halls and the administration office.

Rent and deposit

You pay rent and utilities once a month and a one-time deposit before arrival.

• Rent: 2,224 DKK (approx.)
• Utilities on account: 340 DKK
• Tenant’s contribution: 80 DKK
