Student Housing in Odense

As an international student in Odense, you are guaranteed housing if you apply on time. Discover your options, find out what to expect, and get practical tips for settling in Denmark’s third largest city.

Odense offers a wide range of housing options for international students, from residences and housing associations to private rentals and sublets.

There are many different housing opportunities in Odense. They differ ind price, location and facilities and is a mix of student residences, private landlords, housing organisations and sublets. 

The general condition of the housing is reflected in the rent level. Cheaper options are usually older or less modern, but all housing meets acceptable living standards.

Kitchens and bathrooms may be shared, and it cannot be guaranteed that you will only share with students of the same gender.

All student housing is furnished with basic items such as a bed, desk, chair and lighting.

Deadlines

To keep your housing guarantee, you must apply before:

  • 1 May (23:59 CET) for study start in September 
  • 1 November (23:59 CET) for study start in February

You can apply for housing even if your application for admission has not yet been accepted.
