Vejle offers several different housing options for international students, whether you prefer to live in a student residence, apply through a housing association, or find a private rental on your own or together with others.
Student housing is located throughout the city, and many options are located close to the city centre with easy access to the University, everyday facilities, and public transport.
Monthly rent varies depending on the type and size of the accommodation, but rent is generally affordable compared to larger Danish cities. Before arrival, you must pay a deposit, usually equivalent to 2–3 months’ rent.
You may also search on the private housing market, where various websites advertise rooms and apartments. Please be aware that some platforms may require a small fee to access contact information or listings.

Deadlines
To keep your housing guarantee, you must apply before:
- 1 May (23:59 CET) for study start in September
- 1 November (23:59 CET) for study start in February
You can apply for housing even if your application for admission has not yet been accepted.
