Step by step

How to submit your application

The steps below will guide you through the application process. Some steps apply to all applicants, while others depend on your individual situation.

Some applicants are required to pay an application fee before the application can be processed. This typically applies to applicants who are non-EU/EEA citizens. If you have to pay the application fee:

  • you must pay the fee before the application deadline.
  • you must upload the payment receipt to your application on optagelse.dk.

Without a valid receipt, SDU cannot process your application.

You apply for your bachelor’s programme via optagelse.dk

When filling in your application, you will be asked to provide information about:

  • personal details and contact information
  • citizenship
  • qualifications
  • any previous or ongoing higher education.

You can apply for up to eight bachelor’s programmes and you must prioritise them in order of preference. You will only be offered one study place; your highest possible priority. You can change your order of priorities until 5 July at 12 noon (CET).

As part of your application, you must upload documentation to show that you meet the admission requirements.

You will be asked to upload:

  • educational qualifications
  • language proficiency qualifications
  • proof of identity
  • any additional documents relevant to your situation.

Which documents are required depends on your educational background and personal situation.
