If you have a GPA (Grade Point Average) of 8.0 or higher from your qualifying education, you are guaranteed admission to selected bachelor’s programmes at SDU.
Guaranteed admission means that you are offered a student place if you meet the programme's GPA threshold and fulfil the admission requirements.
Guaranteed admission only applies to programmes that explicitly offer this option for the relevant intake. You still have to meet requirements for subjects and language.
The programmes with guaranteed admission change from year to year.
How it works
Check before you apply
Guaranteed admission is only available on selected bachelor’s programmes and depends on both your qualifications and the programme you apply for.
Before you apply, it is important to check whether guaranteed admission is relevant in your situation and what it requires.
Guaranteed admission is an admission option offered on selected bachelor’s programmes at SDU.
Guaranteed admission means that you are offered a student place if you have a GPA (Grade Point Average) of 8.0 or higher and you fulfil the admission requirements.
If all conditions are met, you will be offered admission regardless of how many other students apply for the programme.
If your GPA is below 8.0, you are not eligible for guaranteed admission. You can still apply for the programme and be considered for admission.
You can still be eligible for admission to the programme even though your GPA is below 8.0, but admission is no longer guaranteed.
Guaranteed admission does not change the application deadline.
You must:
submit your application via
optagelse.dk
no later than 15 March at 12 noon (CET).
document a GPA of 8.0 or higher from your qualifying examination.
meet all subject and language requirements for the programme.
If you meet the conditions for guaranteed admission, you will be offered a student place regardless of how many other students apply. You will receive answer to your application 28 July via sdu.dk/admission.
If your GPA is below 8.0 or you don't have your final GPA by 15 March, you cannot be guaranteed admission, but your application will still be assessed as part of the regular admission process.
have completed your upper secondary education with a GPA of 8.0 or higher.
meet the programme’s specific subject requirements.
meet the programme’s language requirements.
observe the relevant deadlines.
Guaranteed admission applies regardless of your nationality or citizenship. However, the application process and deadlines depend on your citizenship and educational background.
Guaranteed admission is offered on selected bachelor’s programmes and may change from year to year. See below if the programme you wish to apply for has guaranteed admission.
