How to read the admission numbers

Admission numbers show the threshold for admission in a given year and are based on the last applicant admitted to each programme:

  • Required GPA shows the grade point average of the last applicant admitted based on grades. This applies to applicants whose qualifications can be converted to the Danish grading scale.
  • Admission test score shows the test result of the last applicant admitted through SDU's admission test uniTEST.
  • “Every qualified applicant admitted” means that all applicants who met all admission requirements were offered a study place.

Admission numbers vary from year to year. This is because they depend on the number of applicants, the number of available study places, and how applicants perform in a given admission round.

In cases where applicants have identical uniTEST scores, ranking is based on results in the individual test domains. Which domain is prioritised varies between programmes. In addition, subject-specific tests may be adjusted over time, which can affect admission scores from one year to the next.

FAQ

No, the required GPA reflects the grade point average of the last applicant admitted to the programme. The GPA Is indicative and may change from year to year. Therefore, you cannot rely on the GPA to be the same in the year you apply.

That depends on your citizenship. If you are an EU/EAA citizen, your admission is assessed either based on your grades or via uniTEST, depending on whether your qualifications can be converted to the Danish grading system.

All non-EU citizens will be invited to uniTEST because your grade cannot be converted to the Danish grading system.

No, having the required GPA for the programme you wish to apply for does not guarantee admission. However, SDU offers guaranteed admission to some bachelor’s programme.
