The Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering (IME) has been established to strengthen the existing specialist fields within mechanics, mechatronics, and electronics.
With a strong focus on sustainability and industrial collaboration, IME educates engineers at BEng, BSc, and MSc levels in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, design engineering, and electronics.
Close Collaboration with Industry
Our goal is to build strong connections between students and industry from an early stage in their studies. This is achieved through relevant course assignments, semester projects, bachelor’s and master’s theses, as well as internships within the Bachelor of Engineering programme.
In addition, we collaborate closely with industry on research and development projects, funded both through public grants and direct industry partnerships.
IME is internationally recognized for its expertise in mechanics, electronics, and mechatronics. This is supported by dedicated centres and sections located in Odense and Sønderborg, where state-of-the-art laboratories make IME an attractive partner for students, researchers, and industry alike.
