When planning your studies at SDU in Sønderborg, it is important to be aware that housing conditions vary depending on the type of study programme you are enrolled in, as the housing options and application procedures differ between full-degree students and exchange students.
You are a full-degree student if you are enrolled in an entire bachelor’s or master’s programme at SDU and plan to complete their full education in Sønderborg.
You are an exchange student if you come from a university abroad for a limited period (usually one or two semesters) as part of an exchange agreement.
Below, you will find separate information for full-degree and exchange students, as the housing options, application procedures, and level of support differ between the two groups. Please read the section that applies to your situation carefully to ensure you have the best possible start for your stay in Sønderborg.
Deadlines
To keep your housing guarantee, you must apply before:
- 1 May (23:59 CET) for study start in September
- 1 November (23:59 CET) for study start in February
You can apply for housing even if your application for admission has not yet been accepted.
