Admission with an International Baccalaureate (IB)

In general, you are qualified for admission to a bachelor's programme at SDU with International Baccalaureate (IB) qualifications.

The requirements depend on if you wish to apply for a bachelor's programme or a bachelor of engineering programme:

What you need to apply for bachelor's programmes

You can apply to a bachelor's programme at SDU, if you have the following IB qualifications:

  • IB Diploma
  • Diploma Programme (DP) Course Results or IB Certificate, if you have passed all 6 subjects with a minimum grade of 3, you have at least 3 subjects at Higher Level (HL), and you have supplemented with at least 2 individual subjects (minimum 1 subject at A-level and 1 subject at B-level).

What you need to apply for bachelor of engineering programmes

You can apply to a bachelor of engineering programme at SDU, if you have the following IB qualifications:

  • IB Diploma
  • Diploma Programme (DP) Course Results or IB Certificate, if you have passed all 6 subjects with a minimum grade of 3, you have at least 3 subjects at Higher Level (HL).

Be aware of level requirements

To qualify for admission, you must have passed the required courses at the required levels for the bachelor’s programme you wish to apply for.
