Teaching Committees at IMADA

The task of the teaching committees is to prepare all cases for the Study Board for Science and to continuously assess and regulate the department’s course offerings and study programmes.

The Teaching Committee at IMADA has been restructured from March 2023 to improve internal dialogue and coordination between the education programmes in the department.

IMADA’s Teaching Coordination Group acts as a link between the teaching committees and other committees at the department as well as the Science Study Board and the Education Committee at the Faculty of Science. The group consists of representatives from the department’s programmes and the outreach coordinator.

The responsibilities of the Teaching Committees depend on the specific committee. The Teaching Committee for Mathematics and Applied Mathematics is responsible for quality assurance of the programmes, including approval of course descriptions and changes to curricula, evaluation of courses, and strategic development of the programmes.

For the other Teaching Committees, the responsibility is primarily limited to the preparation of changes to curricula.

Associate Professor Kristian Debrabant is Study Leader at IMADA.
