From Spider Silk to Sustainable Textiles

At SDU, researchers from the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Engineering are working together to explore new approaches to sustainable textile production through the study of spider silk. The project brings together biological research, advanced imaging and engineering development to better understand how spider silk is formed and how this process can be replicated artificially.

Visit to MAX IV, Sweden

On 4 May 2026, the SDU Imaging group visited the MAX IV Laboratory in Lund to explore the latest developments in synchrotron imaging and diffraction. The day offered a valuable glimpse into the wide range of beamlines available at MAX IV, as well as the recent upgrades that have strengthened its capabilities.
