Danish Molecular Biomedical Imaging Center
We provide access to state-of-the-art microscopy equipment, training and assistance required for the whole range of light microscopy for imaging specimens.
Welcome to the Danish Molecular Biomedical Imaging Center (DaMBIC), a bioimaging core facility at the University of Southern Denmark, Odense, Denmark.
The DaMBIC core facility provides access to state-of-the-art microscopy equipment, training and assistance required for the whole range of light microscopy for imaging specimens ranging from single molecules to cells, tissue and small animals. Exemplary case studies:
Bioimaging:
- Automated image acquisition and analysis
- Widefield and confocal immunofluorescence
- Co-localization studies
- Calcium ions and pH measurements in tissue and cells
Spatial Transcriptomics:
- MERFISH (Multiplexed error-robust fluorescence in-situ hybridization)
- 10X Visium Spatial Gene Expression slides
Live Cell/Tissue imaging:
- Cell tracking in 2D and 3D
- Diffusion measurements in tissue
- Transport measurements in cells and membranes
- Multi-photon imaging of resistance arteries
- Multi-photon of small animals
Super-resolution:
- Super-resolution of tight junction proteins
- Drug delivery systems
- MinFLUX imaging with a resolution of 2 nm
Raman Based Label Free Imaging:
- Drug delivery
- Cancer diagnostics
- Food analysis
- Nano/micro plastics
DaMBIC offers a range of imaging equipment ranging from automated widefield microscopes to advanced confocal and multiphoton microscopes, to an array of state of the art super resolution techniques and Raman based label free imaging techniques. See a full list of the equipment.
Additionally, we provide support for experimental design and sample preparation, access to image analysis software and expertise in data analysis and microscopy education.
PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, scientific staff and external academic and industry affiliated users may access our microscopes after a training session by the DaMBIC staff. Find more information.
