Poznań, Poland (Semester 1, fall)

Focus: Legal and Institutional Foundations

Your journey begins at Adam Mickiewicz University, where you will learn to master the principles of public international law, human rights, and the inner workings of international organizations, providing you the essential legal framework for analyzing global challenges.

Located halfway between Warsaw and Berlin, Poznań offers an affordable, vibrant student experience with a unique perspective on the security dynamics of Central and Eastern Europe.

Odense, Denmark (Semester 2, spring)

Focus: International Security and Law

At the University of Southern Denmark, you will engage in a critical and analytical study of modern warfare and the role of international law in conflicts such as Ukraine, Gaza or Sudan.

The highlight of this semester is the MOISL crisis simulation, an intensive, hands-on exercise where you over the course of two days apply your knowledge to a real-world crisis scenario.

Living in Odense places you at the center of the dual-use technology debate. With the upcoming Danish Defense drone center located here, you are one hour from Copenhagen and at the heart of discussions on the relation between international law, ethical surveillance, and autonomous defense systems.

Strasbourg, France (Semester 3, fall)

Focus: Geopolitics & Diplomacy

Your last semester of coursework takes place at the prestigious Sciences Po Strasbourg, in the diplomatic capital of Europe.

Here, you will integrate your legal and security knowledge into a focused study of geopolitics, borders, and territorial diplomacy.

Your proximity to institutions like the Council of Europe and the European Parliament provides an unparalleled context for your studies.

Odense, Denmark (Semester 4, spring)

Focus: Master’s Thesis

The final semester you will be supervised by our international staff in international security or international law to complete an independent research project. MOISL allows you to work on your thesis in Odense or elsewhere.

This project marks the culmination of the academic journey, synthesizing your learning and experiences from the previous three semesters to generate novel ideas in a specialized topic of your own choosing.
