Why choose Mechanical Engineering?

As an MSc in Engineering student in Mechanical Engineering, you learn to analyse, design and optimise advanced mechanical structures. You work with the development of products and systems that must be safe, efficient and sustainable – from robots and wind turbines to hearing aids and medical equipment. You build on your bachelor’s degree and become a specialist in understanding how forces, movement and materials interact in complex technical solutions.

Mechanical Engineering is for you if you…

  • want to design the technical solutions of the future

  • want strong career opportunities

  • want to learn to develop innovative solutions to concrete problems

What will you learn?

The master’s programme gives you in-depth insight into mechanical analysis, modelling and product development. You learn to use advanced calculation and simulation tools to predict how structures behave under mechanical or thermal load and how they can be improved. At the same time, you develop your ability to work systematically and innovatively with technical problems.

Through projects in collaboration with researchers and companies, you work on real development tasks and learn to turn theory into practice. There is a focus on product development, mechanical design, simulation and optimisation – and on your development as a specialist who can immerse yourself in complex technical contexts and deliver high-quality solutions.

Teaching methods

Teaching combines theory in classroom instruction practical assignment lessons and project work in groups.
