Esbjerg – the city by the sea. Denmark’s youngest metropolitan city with 75.000 inhabitants. Esbjerg is the place where truly unique nature experiences is combined with a vibrant an active city life.
Esbjerg is characterized by offshore industry and ambitious renewable energy projects. A 10-minute bike ride from the city center is SDU Esbjerg, where you will find exciting international study programmes in a challenging and professional environment – all targeted at the international job market. Half of our students are from abroad, so you become part of an international network from day one.
As Denmark’s fifth largest city, Esbjerg offers many opportunities for students ‘after hours’. You will find numerous restaurants, bars and café’s as well as galleries and unique museum experiences. In Esbjerg you will find Denmark’s longest pedestrian zone, where you find a broad variety of shops and bars.
Sports clubs are a great place to socialize and meet new friends. In Esbjerg you can join a sports club of your choice; football, handball, ice hockey or perhaps kite surfing?
