Programme offered in Danish only
During the 3 year Bachelor programme you achieve competence in working with Danish communication combined with one of the following foreign languages: French Spanish German (the programme with the English combination is located at campus Slagelse).
The study programme prepares you for employment within communication in international companies, either Danish companies doing business in countries within the mentioned foreign language areas, or foreign companies with activities in Denmark.

Demand for foreign languages

The business world is looking for employees who master both Danish and foreign languages at a high level. Qualifications within German are particularly requested by the business world as Germany is one of Denmark's largest commercial partners. The prospects of Danish companies conquering the French and Spanish-speaking markets are often slowed down by the lack of languages skills and knowledge about French, Spanish and Latin-American cultures.
A degree in language and communication enables you to handle tasks that to a significant degree can help improve Danish companies in the large local markets as well as the remote markets where Danish companies are gaining ground.

More than just linguistic competences

Apart from linguistic skills you obtain knowledge about: Intercultural communication, Organization, Marketing, Communication planning Project management and similar.
With these competences you are even more prepared to handle a wide spectrum of tasks in all types of companies, and through your elective courses you can further design your own professional profile.

You also get the opportunity to study abroad for a semester, where you learn the language where it is spoken. This is an opportunity you cannot miss.

When you graduate the Bachelor’s programme, you can apply for jobs in the business world or continue at the two year Graduate programme, e.g. the Graduate program in International Business Communication.

If you have any questions about the programme, you are welcome to write an e-mail to the student counsellor.
